In all the time that I have been collecting mechanical puzzles, nowhere apart from Hakone and Tokyo in Japan has been as exciting as Prague.
There are several shops such as the one pictured above, with vast ranges of puzzles, both local Czech products and more international ones. The red and white 18-piece burr pictured here is now in my collection. As well as 4 or 5 shops with wide ranges, there are numerous market stalls selling puzzles. I visited Prague in December 2006, and I can assure you that several puzzle retailers had an excellent Christmas after my visit!
